Ray Gordon, who for many years was a well known resident and a familiar face to many people in and around Girton, passed away peacefully in December 2023.
Ray was a valued Trustee of Girton Town Charity, and he would say that of all the contributions he made to village life, the project he was most proud of being involved with would be the William Collyn Community Centre — where our main hall is named after him in recognition of his contribution to the project.
"Thank you Ray. We will continue to make you proud."
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Ray's family and friends.
The Gordon Hall — our main hall — is named in Ray's honour and continues to host the celebrations, classes and gatherings that he worked so hard to make possible.
